Welcome
Are you wanting to switch off and escape to a tranquil location with spectacular views of the beautiful Welsh countryside and yet close to some of the best beaches in the UK, award winning restaurants and exciting family days out, then Mwche Lodge is the place for you.
This single story, ex farm building has been furnished to an extremely high standard to ensure your stay is really comfortable. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, making it suitable for families or sets of friends. It also has an enclosed garden making it suitable for dogs.
Its location on the old Mwche farm site has uninterrupted, stunning views across the coastal eco salt marshes, to the Taf Estuary and Dylan Thomas’s Boat House in Laugharne. Ideal for relaxing, walking, cycling or sightseeing.
The whole area is steeped in history, dating as far back to medieval times when Pilgrims passed on their way to St David’s and more recently to 1900s when the famous author/poet Dylan Thomas lived in the area and penned some of his famous works in his boathouse across the Estuary. Dylan Thomas’s maternal family lived on farms in the area, including Mwche and he spent much of his childhood on this side of the estuary and often drank in the Farmers Arms, a friendly pub in nearby Llanybri village.
